If you’re involved with construction product manufacturing, join us over on Twitter on Tuesday 3rd February at 12pm where Steve Thompson, our chair and BIM Programme Manager at Tata Steel, will be answering questions about BIM adoption.
BIM4M2 (BIM for Manufacturers and Manufacturing) was created to support building product manufacturers in the adoption of BIM. The group provides a forum to share knowledge, learning and experience – and is currently in the process of developing new tools to support manufacturers including:
- an evidence based tool which works out the likelihood of a manufacturer needing to respond to the BIM challenge
- a tool which will allow manufacturers to find accurate and independent resources to learn more about BIM
- a tool to help manufacturers put together an implementation plan for BIM development.
Hosted by Barbour Product Search, Steve will discuss these tools, as well as providing insight following the results of our recent survey about product manufacturers’ experiences of BIM.
Let us know how we can support your BIM journey
We’re asking all building product manufacturers, whether you are new to BIM or have already begun the BIM process, to get involved and ask Steve your questions.
Simply follow #BIM4M2chat and tweet your questions to @SGThompsonBIM.
Don’t forget, you can also follow @BIM4M2 or sign up to our newsletter (enter your email address in the top right box on any page) to be one of the first to hear about the new tools when they are available.
